About eBiz Summer School

The Department of Information & Communications Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean organizes the 3rd International Summer School in Electronic Business (eBiz2015), from the 3rd till 7th of July 2015, in Hermoulopis, Syros Island, Greece.

eBiz2015 International Summer School program is designed to introduce attenders to the world of multi-channel marketing, and provide them with the advanced technical skills needed to identify, engage, and develop relationships with customers in a digital environment. Participants will learn how to increase their online business visibility thanks to a correct marketing strategy within the principal search engines, social networks and online advertising.

eBiz2013

eBiz International Summer School (eBiz2013) started in 2013 and was organized by Dr. Dimitris Drosos (eBiz Scientific Coordinator). It was held in Molyvos, Lesvos Island, one of the most beautiful Greek destinations. It lasted 7 days and eBiz2013 theme was “How to Start a Successful e-Commerce Business”.

The following year, the Second International Summer School (eBiz2014) took place again in Molyvos, Lesvos. This time, the 19 sessions lasted 7 days and were strictly focused on eBusiness operations (logistics, marketing, open source e-commerce platforms etc.).

Upon completion of eBiz courses, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance (1.5 ects credits).

Criteria for selecting participants

  • Degree/s relevant with the topics and scope of the eBiz Summer School.
  • e-business Working Experience (* not required).
  • Motivation for participating at eBiz. Preferably, the applicant should state the specific reasons for participating in this specific programme.
  • Priority according to registration date.

The fees for every participant cover:

Syros (Greek: Σύρος), or Siros or Syra is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. It is located 78 nautical miles (144 km) south-east of Athens. The area of the island is 83.6 km2 (32 sq mi) and it has 21,507 inhabitants (2011 census).

 By plane:  Flying into Syros is another common way to reach the island. The area is served by the Syros Airport (code JSY), located near the capital city of Syros, Hermoupolis. The airport of Syros is daily connected with flights from Athens.
